Unlike the Humminbird SOLIX MEGA which allows the user to designate where to save side imaging sonar data, the HELIX MEGA is automatically deciding which of the two SD card slots to save the data to.

The Humminbird HELIX will automatically default to saving data in the left SD card slot. So it is best to put your locked chart SD card in the right slot and your blank data saving SD card in the left slot.

The saved data can then be played back on the control unit or exported to a computer with the SAR HAWK software for viewing on a full resolution monitor, plotting coverages maps on Google Earth and/or exporting contact reports for divers.
